Texas Hemp Farmers See Record Harvest After 2025 Legislation Boost
Following the passage of expanded hemp cultivation laws in late 2025, Texas farmers are reporting their most profitable hemp season yet. With over 45,000 acres now dedicated to industrial hemp across the state, Texas has become the nation's third-largest hemp producer. The Austin-based Hemp Growers Association reports a 340% increase in licensed operations since January 2026, with CBD extraction facilities opening in rural communities from Amarillo to the Rio Grande Valley.
